A Verification Layer, Not a Replacement Stack.

You already run tooling for applications, review, records and payments. FounderGrade adds the one step none of that tooling performs: an independent check of whether the milestone was actually met.

Programme operator comparing milestone evidence against a tranche schedule

Keep the Grant Stack You Already Run.

Most programmes already run allocation, workflow, attestation and disbursement tooling, and those tools work. What none of them performs is an independent check of whether the milestone was actually met, because in each of them progress is reported by the grantee or reviewed by programme staff. FounderGrade attaches at that single point. Nothing else in your stack has to move.

Nothing on this page argues that your current tooling is doing its job badly. Each category below solves the problem it was built for. Verification is a different problem, and it is the one we solve.

Architecture

Where the Layer Attaches

A typical programme flow, start to finish. One step changes. The programme keeps every existing tool and keeps the release decision.

  1. 01ApplicationYour Existing ToolingIntake, eligibility and applicant data stay where they are today.
  2. 02Allocation DecisionYour ProgrammeReviewers, committees or community votes decide who is funded. We take no part in selection.
  3. 03Funding and Tranche ScheduleYour ProgrammeThe award is committed and the tranche schedule is set, in whatever system you already use.
  4. 04Milestone ClaimGranteeThe grantee submits the evidence agreed at definition, through your workflow tool or ours.
  5. 05Independent VerificationFounderGradeAn unaffiliated expert examines the evidence against the published standard and records a finding with reasons.
  6. 06Release AuthorisationYour ProgrammeYou authorise, withhold or open a resubmission window. A finding is an input, never an instruction.
  7. 07Reporting and PublicationYour ProgrammeYour reporting stack keeps its role. Findings export alongside your own milestone records.

Verification is an input to your release decision, never a trigger for it. There is no configuration anywhere in the product that lets a finding move money by itself.

Switching Costs Are the Real Objection. So Do Not Switch.

A programme that has already deployed a grant stack should not have to unpick it to get verification. Keep your intake, keep your review workflow, keep your attestations, keep your payment rail. Attach one step and see what it tells you.

By Category

Five Categories, Five Different Jobs

Organised by mechanism rather than by vendor. Named products are described only by what their own public documentation states, with the date we checked.

Allocation and Application Tooling

Mechanism
Collects applications, routes them to reviewers or a community vote, and records the allocation decision that awards a grant.
Who Asserts Completion
Applicants describe the work they intend to do. Reviewers or voters decide who is funded.
Outside Its Scope
Allocation tooling decides who receives capital. It is not designed to establish, later, whether the funded work happened.
How Verification Attaches
Keep your allocation process exactly as it is. FounderGrade begins after the award, at the first milestone claim.

Publicly Documented Examples

  • Questbook

Publicly documents a decentralised grant orchestration product covering applications, reviewer scoring and allocation decisions for ecosystem grant programmes.

Workflow and Review Tooling

Mechanism
Runs the grant lifecycle end to end: intake forms, review stages, milestone plans, progress updates and internal approvals.
Who Asserts Completion
The grantee writes the progress update. A programme administrator reviews and approves it.
Outside Its Scope
Workflow tooling records and routes the claim. Establishing independently whether the claim is accurate sits outside what the workflow itself performs.
How Verification Attaches
The milestone record stays in your workflow tool. A verification finding is produced alongside it and referenced from it.

Publicly Documented Examples

  • CharmVerse

Publicly documents an end-to-end grants product covering applications, reviews, milestone tracking and payouts in one workspace.

Attestation and Record Keeping

Mechanism
Writes grant and milestone records as signed attestations so the history of what was reported is durable and publicly readable.
Who Asserts Completion
The attestation records who said what and when. The content of a milestone update is normally authored by the grantee.
Outside Its Scope
An attestation makes a statement durable. Durability is a property of the record, not evidence that the statement is correct.
How Verification Attaches
A verification finding is itself a record. It can reference the same milestone identifier your attestation layer already uses.

Publicly Documented Examples

  • Karma GAP

Publicly documents a grantee accountability protocol where grants, milestones and milestone updates are recorded as on-chain attestations.

Disbursement and Streaming

Mechanism
Moves funds to the recipient, either as scheduled payments or as a continuous stream that unlocks over a defined period.
Who Asserts Completion
In a time-based stream, nothing asserts completion. Elapsed time is the trigger, subject to cancellation.
Outside Its Scope
A payment rail executes a transfer. Deciding whether the transfer is deserved is a separate question the rail does not take a position on.
How Verification Attaches
Your rail keeps moving the money. FounderGrade supplies the finding your programme uses before it authorises the next tranche or stream.

Publicly Documented Examples

  • Sablier

Publicly documents token streaming and vesting where funds unlock continuously over a defined schedule.

  • Superfluid

Publicly documents programmable money streams that transfer value continuously on a per-second basis.

Independent Verification

The Layer We Provide
Mechanism
A calibrated third-party expert, unaffiliated with both the grantee and the programme, examines the submitted evidence against a published standard and records Corroborated, Contradicted or Unable To Verify, with written reasons.
Who Asserts Completion
An independent expert, on the record, under conflict rules the programme can read.
Outside Its Scope
Verification does not allocate capital, does not hold funds and does not release them. The programme keeps every one of those powers.
How Verification Attaches
This is the layer FounderGrade provides. It is the only category on this page we operate.

Publicly Documented Examples

  • FounderGrade

Independent expert verification of milestone completion, published against a versioned verification standard.

Named products above are described only by capabilities their own public documentation states, with the date we checked each page. Categories describe mechanisms, not merit. We have not tested, benchmarked or audited any third-party product, and nothing on this page should be read as a performance comparison. If a description here is out of date, write to hello@foundergrade.ai and we will correct it.

In Practice

What Attaching Actually Involves

Honest current status: the platform is pre-launch and no production connectors are shipping today. This is the intended integration surface, and pilots run against it manually where a connector does not exist yet.

Milestone Identifier Mapping

Findings carry your milestone identifier, so a finding lines up with the record already in your workflow or attestation tool.

Export Rather Than Migration

Every finding, reason and audit entry exports as structured data. Nothing is trapped in our console.

Programme-Held Release Control

We never receive payment authority. Your rail keeps disbursing, on your signature.

Evidence Requests to Grantees

Verifiers request evidence directly from the grantee under your programme's terms, so your staff stop chasing documents.

Manual During Pilots

During a pilot, mapping is done by hand at scoping. That is deliberate: connectors built before we understand your schema are the wrong connectors.

Published Connectors at Launch

Connector availability will be listed here, per category, with the date each shipped. Nothing is listed before it works.

For Programmes

Attach Verification to One Cohort.

Keep every tool you run today. We map the verification step onto your existing tranche schedule at scoping.
